Chris Jackson
Peterson Group
Chris Jackson is the Chief Projects and Legal Officer at Peterson Group.
Peterson specializes in real estate investment, development, property management, capital lending and private equity, with a portfolio across North America.
Chris advises on all legal matters, including governance, acquisitions, dispositions, lending, insurance and enterprise risk management. He also has executive-level responsibility for the Construction, Development and Sales and Marketing Departments.
Chris graduated from the University of Windsor Law School in 2006 and clerked at the BC Court of Appeal in 2007. He worked in the Vancouver office of an international law firm in its Real Estate Group from 2007-2011. Following that, he served as General Counsel for an international real estate development and management company for over 7 years before joining Peterson.
With over 16 years of experience in the lead legal leadership position, Chris’ role at Peterson extends far beyond traditional in-house legal counsel responsibilities, including the design and implementation of Peterson’s environmental social and governance (ESG) program.
Chris is a long-time participant in the CBA's Battle of the Bar Bands, in support of the BC Benevolent Society, and a former President of the Hoop-Law Charity Basketball Tournament Organizing Committee, which benefits British Columbia based charities.
