2026 Canadian General Counsel of the Year Award Finalist

Lisa Damiani is Executive Vice-President and Chief Legal Officer at Canadian Tire Corporation, Limited (CTC). In this role, Lisa oversees the company's legal group, providing trusted counsel and support for all CTC entities.

Lisa has broad experience across multiple industries, having served as a trusted legal advisor and highly strategic, collaborative and influential leader at various public and private companies. She has received extensive recognition in the legal community, including as a leading practitioner of Corporate Law by The Best Lawyers in Canada and as a repeatedly recommended lawyer in Mergers and Acquisitions in The Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory.

Prior to joining CTC in 2023, Lisa was a partner for many years at Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg LLP, with a focus on M&A, securities law and corporate finance. Since leaving private practice, she has served as General Counsel of New Gold Inc., Chief Legal and Regulatory Officer of Rogers Communications and General Counsel of Cadillac Fairview.

Lisa has a Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Laws and Masters in Business Administration, all from the University of Toronto.
