Lorne O’Reilly, KC joined Dow Chemical Canada in 2015 and leads all corporate, compliance, and strategic legal matters, including Dow’s $11.5‑billion net‑zero megaproject in Alberta- the largest private industrial project in Canada. He serves as Director and Corporate Secretary and is a member of Dow Canada’s leadership team. Prior to Dow, Lornewas general counsel and a business leader for two Canadian public energy companies.
In addition to being a father of four children in Calgary, Lorne serves on the global Board of Directors of the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC), its executive committee, and its Leadership Excellence Counsel, and is a past President and co‑founder of the ACC Alberta Chapter. . Appointed King’s Counsel (2022), Lorne is an award‑winning general counsel, recognized by Chambers & Partners as one of their Global Market Leaders: General Counsel – Canada | Global. He is past Chair of Heritage Park’s Society and Foundation Boards, is on the Legal 500 GC Powerlist since 2016, and regularly serves as a judge for leading national and global legal awards. He lives in Calgary with his four children and actively mentors law students and lawyers. Lorne was also finalist in each of the 2023 and 2025 Canadian General Counsel Awards.
