If Legal sets the boundaries and guardrails for how we operate, the Corporate Citizenship team helps ensure how we operate aligns with our values, commitments, and evolving stakeholder expectations. Established nearly eight years ago, the team has grown into a trusted, enterprise wide function providing strategic oversight and coordination of OpenText’s ESG efforts.

Though small in size, our team is intentionally embedded within the Legal organization and works with partners across the business, ensuring ESG is consistently integrated. We are championed by our Chief Legal Officer and supported by members of the Legal team, whose partnership strengthens governance, accountability, and impact.

Collectively, we bring 40+ years of OpenText experience, with expertise spanning environmental science, climate strategy, regulatory compliance, stakeholder engagement, communications, marketing, and project management. At our core, we are a group of colleagues committed to community impact, volunteerism, and environmental stewardship guided by a strong compass for good governance. While we are not lawyers by training, we apply key legal disciplines to our work: being thoughtful and thorough, inquisitive and curious, and grounded in principled decision making.
